The Butler Eagle, a family owned morning newspaper in Western Pennsylvania located just outside Pittsburgh, is seeking an experienced writer/reporter to tell the stories of our residents, be their eyes at government meetings, cover courts and crime, and seek out the news that will make a difference in their lives. This journalist will join a staff of eight writers and be a force in molding what news is presented in print, social media and the Eagle website. In addition to being a wordsmith, the position requires strong people skills, an ability to research topics, a social media awareness and the willing to try mediums as the Eagle develops its video, audio and photographic platforms.
