JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a talented and dedicated 

individual to join our team as an Editor/Reporter 

at our community newspapers, covering the 

Granville, NY & Lakes Region of Vermont 

communities. The ideal candidate will have a 

passion for journalism and storytelling, strong 

writing and editing skills, and the ability to work 

independently and meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research, write, and edit news articles, feature stories, 

and other content for print and online publication

• Cover local events, meetings, and community news

• Conduct interviews with community 

members, officials, and other sources

• Assist with layout and design of newspaper pages

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure 

timely and accurate publication of content

• Stay up-to-date on local news and trends

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field

• Previous experience in journalism or a related field

• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of AP style and journalistic ethics

• Familiarity with layout and design software a plu
