Description:
LSAT Demon is seeking a writer to investigate all things law school: admissions, financial aid packages, marketing practices, diversity, and the impact of Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard.
Law education is a multi-billion dollar industry with a dearth of consistent coverage. Although admissions and business practices are the subject of intense discussion, information is, with a few exceptions, low quality. We’re looking for a reporter who can change that. How are schools dealing with the end of affirmative action? How honest are the pitches law schools make to prospective students? How do schools try and game the rankings system? These are the kinds of questions you’ll be diving into.
To apply, please submit a resume, cover letter, and three clips to nick.vachon@lsatdemon.com. This is a remote position.
About You

- A storyteller’s sensitivity to context and nuance
- Passion and drive for shedding light on law school admissions and business practices
- Experience reporting on higher education is strongly preferred but not required
