Description:
Wick Communications is seeking a creative, efficient and organized page designer to join our central newspaper pagination team.
In this role, you’ll design pages for daily newspapers and specialty products across our full portfolio of markets.
Responsibilities:
Produce assigned news pages on deadline with high accuracy
Communicate effectively with design team members
Coordinate with advertising staff to produce page dummies
Work with local newsrooms to budget and proof news content
Create and manage templates for highly used page elements
Attend regular team meetings
Qualifications:
Mastery of InDesign is a must
Newspaper page layout experience is required
Experience producing feature layouts (e.g. magazines, specialty pages, highly designed section fronts) is also required
Experience working with Blox CMS is strongly preferred
This full-time role is based in Tucson, but we’re open to remote work for the right candidate. The schedule is generally Monday to Friday with very occasional nights or weekend work. Our benefits package includes medical and dental insurance, paid vacation time and 401k retirement options.
