Description:

Warren Communications News, a leading publisher since 1945 of hard news, analysis and research covering the telecommunications and international trade industries, seeks an enterprising reporter to write about federal and state privacy laws and regulation, including on kids' online safety and social media, as well as court cases, data breaches, cybersecurity and AI.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated. They should be able to thrive in a daily deadline news environment and should have the judgment to decide what needs to be covered to inform an audience of top industry and government officials.

Experience covering privacy or cybersecurity preferred, though not required.

The successful applicant will be expected to write forward-looking stories on privacy compliance and what’s happening behind the scenes in foreign capitals, state legislatures and the federal government. They also will write longer-term and project-based stories.
