Description:

The Daily World, headquartered in Aberdeen, Washington, and covering all of Grays Harbor County, Northern Pacific County and the Olympic Peninsula, is searching for an individual with an appetite for storytelling, for digging for that last detail, for being a true reporter first, and a gifted writer to compliment that hard reporting.  Our next reporter will join a newsroom that leads the region in news coverage.  The Daily World publishes four days a week, and also prints the quarterly Washington Coast Magazine, a high-quality all-glossy mag that covers the coast of Washington state, from Astoria to Neah Bay.

The ideal candidate is comfortable writing hard news and features, both long-form and short. Weekly or daily newspaper experience is preferred, though time worked on student publications and internships will be considered.  Must be comfortable using a smartphone in the field to take photos and shoot video.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hrs/wk

Pay: $18 per hour
