Description:
Schneps Media, the No. 1 ranked local news organization in New York, is looking for a versatile, self-starter with good writing and reporting skills for a position in Nassau County. Degree in journalism or equivalent. Must live in Nassau County and have a car. Please do not apply if you don't fit these requirements.
You will report on all aspects of communities including local government, politics, education, business and people.
Excellent opportunity to work with editors with many years of weekly and daily newspaper experience.
Other responsibilities include posting stories to social media. writing headlines, cutlines, captions and taking photos and managing community and school news submissions.
