Role Overview: As Senior Managing Editor, you'll play a crucial role in our content across various platforms. This is a fully remote position, but you'll start with an in-person training period to get acquainted with our team and processes. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the creation, editing, and publication of high-quality content that engages and informs our audience. You’ll also contribute directly by writing compelling, persuasive, and engaging copy that aligns with our brand voice. You'll have a keen eye for detail, exceptional writing and editing skills, and a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape, including print, online, and video content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work at the core of a small team of writers, editors, and multimedia creators to conceive and produce engaging, high-quality content.
• Contribute to content creation by writing excellent and highly engaging copy for articles, marketing materials, and other formats as needed.
• Travel and write captivating content about real estate opportunities around the globe.
• Oversee the editorial calendar, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery across all platforms.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure it meets our high standards for accuracy, clarity, and style.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, particularly in the changing nature of media, to keep our content fresh and innovative.
• Develop and maintain editorial guidelines and standards.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional writing, copywriting, and editing skills, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to create compelling content and exercise sound judgment.
• Proven experience in managing editorial teams and content production processes.
• A passion for exploring and a knack for storytelling that can captivate and persuade readers.
• A horror of getting details wrong.
• Strong grasp of the changing media landscape, including digital, print, and video content.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
• A background of international travel and a curiosity about the world and all it offers is a significant advantage.
