Position
Summary
Campaign
Legal Center (CLC) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to
advancing democracy through law. CLC seeks a Social Media Manager to develop innovative
strategies for and run CLC’s social channels and related digital marketing campaigns.
This
full-time position is a member of CLC’s Communications team and, at times, will
be required to work after hours and weekends for rapid response. CLC is in
Washington, D.C. and preference will be given to candidates based in the Washington
Metropolitan Area, but qualified remote candidates are encouraged to apply.
Key
Responsibilities
·
Develop and implement
a comprehensive social media strategy to drive
strategic engagement, audience growth and brand awareness to further CLC’s
mission.
·
Manage the social media
editorial calendar and generate content for the CLC social media accounts in
partnership with the Communications team.
·
Advice internal
stakeholders on social media best practices and engage influencers and partners
to expand the reach of CLC’s content.
·
Track and report social
metrics and provide analysis to improve performance.
·
Monitor social media
trends, including developments in platforms, strategy and technology, and offer
recommendations.
·
Partner with multimedia
manager to produce video and audio content.
Requirements
·
At least 5-7 years of
experience running social media platforms for a nonprofit, company, government
official, agency or political campaign.

Meticulous attention to detail, ability
to quickly learn nuances in the work, and extremely good judgment.
·
Demonstrated skill in
copywriting and utilizing tested messaging in social media content.
·
Experience
understanding and explaining complex legislative or legal concepts.
·
Historical
knowledge of disenfranchised communities and a desire to learn more about the
barriers to voting and fair representation.
·
Experience
with digital marketing and drafting effective marketing messaging.
·
Strong data analysis
skills.
·
Knowledge of ethical
storytelling practices.
·
Proficiency in graphic
design (Adobe Creative Suite and Canva) and video editing.
·
Ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously, partner with a cross-functional team and adapt quickly to
shifting priorities.
·
Experience engaging in
rapid response on social media platforms with the ability to work after hours
and weekends when necessary to ensure timeliness of content updates during
breaking news.

Proven ability to build respectful and positive relationships with
colleagues.
·
Creativity and enthusiasm for the work.

approaches.
