Description:

The Killeen Daily Herald, a daily newspaper in Central Texas, is hiring a page designer to handle copy editing and newspaper page layout duties. The Herald uses Adobe InDesign to build the print edition. The position is full-time (although part-time applicants will also be considered). Working nights and weekends are required. Copy editing, processing digital photos and posting stories to our website are also required. 

Experience in newspaper page design is preferred, but recent college graduates will also be considered.

Experience with reader engagement and social media is desirable, as are photography and video skills. Editing skills and knowledge of AP Style are required. Military knowledge and experience is a plus. Killeen is a busy news town right outside Fort Cavazos.
