  • ANCHOR TRAINING:
    Date: SATURDAY, July 21, 2007

    Location: Washington, D.C.

    WUSA-TV, Washington, DC anchor Mike Walter and TNC President Herb Brubaker will conduct ANCHOR TRAINING from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Interface Media Group, 1233 20th Street, NW, Washington, DC. Using a network quality studio and a current Washington, DC newscast, TNC will coach you on effective use of TelePrompTer, reading to voice over and SOT, tossing to the weather or traffic, and introducing packages. In addition, CNN DEPARTMENT HEAD SKIP SMITH will make you up and instruct you how to do the job yourself. The $750 fee covers Beta and VHS of all your performances, all instructional materials, makeup, continental breakfast, and lunch.   • REPORTER TRAINING:
    Date: Saturday and Sunday, July 7 and 8, 2007

    Location: New York City

    TELEVISION NEWS CENTER PRESIDENT HERB BRUBAKER and a major market or network correspondent will conduct REPORTER TRAINING July 7 and 8, 2007. During this two day program you will cover a story, do a standup, write, narrate, and produce a TV news package, which you may use for part of an audition reel, or you can air the story on your station. TNC will also provide job counseling, including the most effective ways to produce a resume tape. The fee for both days is $1100, which covers all instructional materials and Beta and VHS tape of your news package. TNC accepts American Express, VISA, Discover, and MasterCard.   • NEWSCAST PRODUCER/WRITER TRAINING:
    Date: SATURDAY, June 16, 2007

    Location: Washington, DC

    WJLA-TV WASHINGTON, DC NEWSCAST PRODUCER RYAN PRATZEL and TELEVISION NEWS CENTER PRESIDENT HERB BRUBAKER will conduct NEWSCAST PRODUCER/WRITER TRAINING Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Ventana Productions, 1825 K St., NW, Washington, DC. TNC will take you every step of the way through newscast producing and instruct you in the fine points of writing for TV News. If you're a broadcast veteran, we'll help you make that newscast even better! Bring your production tape and writing, and we'll critique them.
