Description:

Under the direction of the Chief Communications Officer, the Web Communications Specialist will take the lead in managing our new, dynamic website – www.moritzlaw.osu.edu. The web specialist is responsible for building, upgrading, and maintaining this complex website, using widgets, plug-ins, and themes to ensure high performance, consistency, and a great user experience. The web specialist will work extensively with the college graphic designer to build electronic newsletters, invitations, and announcements in HTML and WordPress. This position plays a key role in our overall digital strategy and will integrate social media and digital storytelling into the current website and communications plan. The web specialist will monitor web innovations and make recommendations for new features and tools. As our site is complex, experience with Java Script, PHP/MySQL, and CSS is required. Our communications office is set up as a creative team and this position requires the ability to work as a team player, be flexible, and be a creative problem-solver who thrives on ad hoc brainstorming sessions. This position also works with a variety of staff from Moritz and across the University as well as Moritz faculty.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of WordPress, HTML, PHP/MySQL, CSS, Dreamweaver, Google Analytics, and Adobe PhotoShop.
