Description:

Do you love college football and want a national platform?

We’re looking for serious college football writers, editors and broadcasters to contribute to a new national website in Football.com.

Our goal is to create an interactive, community-based staff and audience geared toward analysis and opinion while taking advantage of top-notch web development and social media.

We’re looking for folks who can provide substantial football analysis, understand storylines and pay close attention to detail. If you have social media or on-camera experience, that’s a useful bonus.

Despite launching less than seven months ago, we have more than 165,000 followers on our Google+ page. We’ve developed a weekly college football show that airs Monday nights on Google Hangouts and have begun to incorporate short video pieces on our site as well.

But the staple always will be good, thoughtful analysis and opinion. We want to add some context to the deluge of news. Why does this matter? Who cares? What can we expect next? What does this mean?

Since we’re new, there are opportunities available now that won’t exist in coming months.

Our growing staff includes people with experience writing or editing for publications like the Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, ESPN and the Los Angeles Times.

Though we're looking to add good people across the board, we'll give particular priority to interest in the following conferences:

ACC
Big 12
MAC
Sun Belt

There also are unique opportunities available if you’re interested in Heisman coverage, recruiting and analytics.

Please send your resume and clips, or video footage, to csmith@football.com, and indicate your particular area of interest.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Christopher Smith

FBS Senior Editor, Football.com
