Farm Forum, the leading weekly agriculture magazine in South Dakota, is looking for an energetic, innovative editor to lead the product.

Farm Forum serves the ag communities in five states every Friday. That audience grows as Farm Forum expands into smartphone apps and social media.

The Farm Forum editor is often the face of agriculture in the state. She or he must understand the issues affecting ag in the Midwest, and be able to communicate with CEOs in offices to farmers planting soybeans or corn.

The editor will:

* Design, edit and produce weekly Farm Forum and meet deadlines * Produce, edit and manage content on digital platforms, including FarmForum.net, apps, e-edition and social media * Write local ag stories and contribute knowledge for Farm Forum and sister publication the American News, the daily newspaper serving Aberdeen, S.D. * Interact with agriculture community at all levels

There is some supervisory requirement. The preferred candidate will have a commitment to agriculture, and growing good stories. Organizational and planning skills are essential.
