Description:

The Morning Sentinel is seeking an aggressive reporter to add depth to our print and digital publications. This position requires traditional reporting and writing skills as well as the ability to work seamlessly across a variety of media platforms. The Morning Sentinel in Waterville, Maine, is part of a statewide news organization that prides itself on investigative reporting, watchdog journalism and high standards of professionalism. We publish a small but ambitious daily newspaper that is building a staff of award-winning journalists, and we are eager to add more firepower to our lineup. Waterville is located in the heart of scenic central Maine, 20 minutes from the state capital and within easy driving distance of Maine's renowned recreational areas. Fishing, floating and mountain biking are readily accessible, as are large ski areas, the Appalachian Trail and New Hampshire's White Mountains. This could be the opportunity you've been waiting for — a chance to expand your professional horizons and upgrade your lifestyle. Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume and three-to-five writing samples to Managing Editor Jim Evans at jevans@mainetoday.com.
