Description:
MassMedia is seeking a Media Relations Specialist to join our team in Las Vegas. We are looking for a highly-motivated individual who has a passion for working with and pitching the media.
Candidates must possess excellent writing skills, AP Style knowledge, the ability to multi-task on a variety of projects, execute quickly with high quality, possess a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism or Communications and 3+ years of experience in media relations, organizational communications or journalism.
Daily responsibilities include the creation and management of public/media relations opportunities for a variety of agency clients, developing and monitoring press coverage as well as cultivating and maintaining key contacts in print and broadcast media.
In addition, the Media Relations Specialist is responsible for ensuring weekly and monthly press coverage through print, radio, television, and Web-based opportunities; assisting in the development of corporate and program-specific public relations strategies and coordinating ongoing client media needs.
