ASUGNews.com, an independent news website that covers SAP, its nearly 200,000 customers and the enterprise software marketplace, is looking for a motivated writer to join the team. Since its founding in early 2011, ASUGNews.com has become a go-to source of news, analysis and insight for all things SAP and ASUG (the Americas’ SAP Users’ Group, which is comprised of more than 100,000 members in North America).

Responsibilities for this newly created position include:

• Covering breaking news from SAP on new products, services and roadmaps.
• Writing profiles of how ASUG members and SAP customers are evaluating, implementing and managing their SAP portfolios and strategies for SAP’s burgeoning lines of products and services.
• Writing incisive blog posts on general enterprise IT market trends, survey and research data, and news relevant to ASUG members.
• Cultivating sources to be featured on ASUGNews.com.
• Attending ASUG and SAP events throughout the year (approx. 1 per month)
• Conducting video interviews with ASUG members, SAP executives and SAP partners at annual events.
• Maintaining a Twitter account and tweeting on SAP- and ASUG-related topics.

Who we’re looking for: Someone who’s interested in both the business of technology and how technology can help a business; someone who can write 2,000 words on a critical topic but can also write 200 words for a fun blog post; someone who has knowledge of social media platforms but won’t be checking Facebook all day long. Familiarity with Content Management Systems is a plus, as is experience writing about technology (but not required).
