Description:
The Tribeca Trib seeks a general assignment reporter for its online news site and award-winning monthly print publication. The reporter will be responsible for daily online coverage of a range of local issues, from education and quality-of-life to real estate development and landmarking, with strong emphasis on the work of Community Board 1. Geographical areas covered include the Financial District, the South Street Seaport, Battery Park City, Governors Island, the Civic Center, part of Chinatown as well as Tribeca. The job entails both quick turnarounds of web stories as well as writing updated and longer pieces for our monthly paper. The Tribeca Trib, founded in 1994, is Lower Manhattan's longest running publication under a single ownership. It is a strong visual paper and web site that provides opportunities for well-written features to accompany picture stories, slide shows and videos. The Trib also provides great opportunities to create multimedia pieces for a reporter with the interest and creative ability.
