The George Washington University is seeking a writer for its flagship online publication George Washington Today. Candidates should have one to three years writing experience, familiarity with AP style and the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines. A degree in journalism is preferred. The job requires some evening and weekend work.

Duties include:

Writes news and feature stories for George Washington Today online publication.

Helps craft biweekly email edition and maintains George Washington Today website, including its section pages, calendar and archives.

Covers events; interviews faculty, staff and students; and attends meetings to gather story information.

Assists with other publications as needed.
