Description:

Award-winning independent publisher seeking freelance transcriptionists to assist author with nonfiction book projects. Prospective candidates should have a minimum typing speed of 70-80 wpm and experience working from digital recordings. We offer $2.50 per transcribed page, using 1.5 line spacing and 10.5 type. Payments for services are made promptly, generally within 10 days of receipt of invoice. Transcribers have the option of receiving payments by ACH direct deposit or by company check sent in the mail.

Requirements:
Applicants must be good computer typists, capable of accurately transcribing discussions, interviews, and conference calls, with a strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary. Must be capable of meeting deadlines, working independently, and having access to the Internet to acquaint yourself with the subject matter to aid in proper transcribing. Transcriptionists must have appropriate transcribing computer equipment and word processing software. Digital files will be supplied via email in MP3 format.
