WashingtonExec (www.washingtonexec.com) is a daily blog and weekly e-magazine focused on covering the executives of consequence across the DC metro area.

OVERVIEW:

Looking for a motivated tech-savvy recent graduate or student in english, journalism, advertising, communications or another comparable field to support the Editor of WashingtonExec

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree (or majoring) in english, journalism, advertising, or communications
Interest and electives in business, information technology and/or marketing is a plus
Superior writing and editing skills and experience
Strong verbal communications skills and presence
Strong people/interpersonal skills and customer focus
Motivated and disciplined to work on assignments virtually from home office
Access to relatively new computer equipment (Windows-based or iOS-based PC or laptop) with high speed internet access
Comfortable with Gmail and Google Docs, as well as MS Word & PowerPoint
Familiar with Skype, Wordpress and how to edit pictures to be published on-line

The ideal candidate is a student or a recent graduate who is looking for a part-time (about 10 to 15 hr/week) contract work with a modest hourly rate.  Over time, the need may grow (requiring more hours), and the compensation will grow based on results.

Work will be assigned, compensation will be paid, and progress will be assessed on a bi-monthly basis.
