Description:

When you join Dow Jones, you become part of the most dynamic, creative and savvy news and information companies in the world. As a global leader in news and business intelligence, we're newswires, websites, newspapers, apps, newsletters, databases, magazines, radio and television--including some of the widest-read and most-respected brands, like The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, MarketWatch and DJX, our flagship news and analytics platform. Our media inform the discussions and decisions that are vital to the world's commerce, while our databases make the business world more transparent. We continually develop technology to transform information into insight and prosperity. From over 50 countries and in over a dozen languages, we enlighten and inspire audiences with authoritative, differentiated and trusted content.

Personal Journal is looking for a deputy editor.

The editor will help lead a team of reporters, editors, art directors and photo editors. The section publishes three days a week in print and throughout the week digitally, covering health, home, tech, travel, style, and other consumer topics. We are looking for a creative talent who can help us think innovatively and ambitiously about story-telling and design on all platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring rigorous news judgment to our coverage areas. Our features succeed when they illuminate an issue in a novel way: readers should recognize the subject immediately and be surprised by the story. The section thrives when it attempts new things.

Prospective candidates should have experience managing a section or group of reporters. Candidates should be comfortable working on stories in print and online. Design experience is a plus.

Interested candidates should apply online and include a list of five story ideas for print and online.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status. EEO/AA/M/F/Disabled/Vets
