FabFitFun is looking for enthusiastic, smart and driven editorial interns to start late summer/early fall.

Are you a killer writer? Are you passionate about beauty, style and fitness? Do you know all the new Hollywood buzz? Are you a trendsetter? Then this internshipis for you!

We need 3 interns who who are passionate about online writing and journalism. Further we are looking for applicants who are hard working, smart and familiar with FabFitFun’s tone. style and content. We want our site to be filled with fun, innovative and entertaining articles, so our interns should come with lots of ideas! Preferably we’d love someone who already has a strong interest in women’s health, lifestyle and pop culture topics – especially fitness, beauty, fashion, diet and wellness.

You’ll learn what makes a media site successful, the ever-changing art of social media, how to do effective research, marketing strategies, event coordination, and how to write for the web. Many of our interns have written pieces for FFF and have gone on to write for other sites and magazines.

Editorial interns’ responsibilities include:

  • copyediting for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style and usage
  • maintaining media relations
  • fact checking
  • researching new products, diets, trends, etc.
  • finding new, exciting story ideas for the daily e-mails
  • some administrative duties
  • writing fun, unique, intriguing, uplifting, funny content for our daily e-mails (probably without quite so many adjectives)

Qualifications:

We are looking at recent college grads or current students – ideally in pursuit of a related degree (e.g. Print or Online Journalism, English, Communications, TV/Radio/Film, etc.). Candidates with writing experience will be given preference. In addition, any knowledge of photoshop, SEO practices or HTML is preferred. Interns should be able to commit to 2-3 days a week at our WeHo offices. Yes, you must live in Los Angeles to apply for this internship program.

Although we do want to see your resume and would love to find published writers, we are more interested in your ability to edit and write fresh, entertaining content for our site. Please take a look at the current FabFitFun site and write 1 sample piece for our daily newsletter. Humor and tone is key! 

The FabFitFun internship program lasts 4 months.
