Atlas Obscura is a start-up company founded in 2009 that is focused on sharing the world's hidden wonders. We are a user generated website that is curated by writers and editors situated throughout the country. We are currently working on a book that will be a compendium of all the wondrous places that we and our users have discovered in our travels. We are also partnering with Google on their most recent Field Trip app which we held events for in 6 cities simultaneously. Additionally, we founded the Obscura Society which puts on different events, lecture and field trips in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Our interns would be working directly with the websites co-founder and creative director, along with our in-house graphic designer and video curator extraordinaire, and our New York events 'ring leader'.
