The Hutchinson News, a 30,000 circulation newspaper covering southwest and south-central Kansas, is looking for a motivated photographer for our year-round photojournalism internship program. College photojournalism students with two years of college experience and recent graduates will be considered. The candidate will be treated as a staff photographer working 40-hour weeks during the paid internship. The candidate will work closely with the photo editor and staff photographers. The candidate will travel and transmit photos from remote locations, prepare images for publication, and generate their own photo ideas. The candidate must have reliable transportation. It is preferred that candidates supply their own digital equipment. Our internships are offered: winter internship January to May, summer internship June to August and fall internship September to December. Deadlines are for spring Oct. 15th, for summer March 15th and for fall July 1st.
